We're approaching the colder months and that means stocking up on long-sleeved pieces. Time to stow away our spaghetti-strapped mini dresses and tank tops in favour of the more practical but still very adorable cardigans and sweaters. Ready for some seasonal shopping? Here are some that may catch your fancy.

Fleece-lined jackets from Bora Aksu

A black leather jacket with fur collar and an open-lapel sheerling denim jacket with belt

Open-lapel Sheerling Denim Jacket with Belt, SGD4,420/~USD3223.51; Leather Jacket with Fur Collar, SGD4,420/~USD3223.51

Spice up your cold-weather wardrobe with these edgy biker-style jackets. You can dress them up or down depending on the pieces you pair them with. For casual occasions, you can wear them with distressed denim pants and boots for a rocker chick look. If you're going to take them for brunch or to the office, pair them with a floral dress to contrast the rugged vibe and make it a more polished ensemble.

Pullover knit sweaters from REDValentino

You think pullover sweaters are boring? Not with these pieces from REDValentino. These ultra fashionable knits feature interesting details like ruffled bell sleeves and cute zebra prints that add a little zest to your outfit. Wear them with slacks for a sleek look or a skirt to achieve a more feminine aura.

Comfy coats from Loro Piana

A baby pink coat with a single button, and a burgundy hooded coat with front pockets.

Most coats are too heavy and dragging for our tropical weather. So it's important to choose lightweight and comfortable ones to suit the climate. Check out these long coats from Loro Piana in the shades of delicate pink and plush burgundy. Because of their versatility, you can wear them with any outfit.

Flowy dresses from Costarellos

Fuschia lace-trimmed embroidered long-sleeved tulle dress, and a black and white lace-trimmed embroidered tulle dress.

The comeback of lace and ruffles may have been Spring/Summer 2018's biggest trend but it doesn't mean that we can't rock it during the colder months. We're particularly loving these ethereal dresses from Athens-based designer Christos Costarellos. The designs are perfect for this season's garden weddings and other formal occasions. Here's a fun fact: Gina Torres wore one of these lovely dresses for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Elegant outerwear from MARYLING

A red zipped up wool blazer with slitted sleeves, and a fifties-style double-breasted cape coat

Third-pieces are tricky to incorporate into our main outfit. Sometimes, they can throw the whole look if they're not the appropriate colour and cut. The key to making it easier to put together an ensemble with an outerwear is to pick elegant, minimalist designs. It can either be a statement blazer in an eye-catching colour or just a coat with a muted hue to complement your existing wardrobe.
