The GREAT Food Festival, a.k.a. TGFF, is making a return from 27 to 30 September 2018 at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), riding on its successful debut last year. This immersive festival brings together the latest culinary trends and gastronomical adventures created by legends and rising stars in the food industry in Singapore and around the world.

First off, there’s the Star Chef Arena, where a star-studded team of resident and overseas celebrity chefs of RWS’s award-winning and Michelin-starred restaurants present over 30 signature and new dishes, with the added bonus of meeting them in person. The lineup features famed Australian veteran chef-restaurateur Neil Perry; award-winning pâtissier Philip Khoury; renowned female "Iron Chef" Cat Cora; celebrity chef brothers Enrico and Roberto Cerea of Fratelli TrattoriaSam Leong of Forest 森 — watch out for his sinfully luscious Braised Kurobuta Pork Belly with Steamed Bun; Ian Kittichai, Thai cuisine pioneer and judge on MasterChef Thailand; Hal Yamashita of Syun, one of Kobe’s most famous culinary exports; and Susur Lee, Canadian celebrity chef and TV personality.

Dutch Chef Richard van Oostenbrugge, the chef and co-owner of the hot new Restaurant 212 in Amsterdam, will seduce attendees with his Foie Gras Seaweed Broth Umeboshi and Scallop with Black Truffle and Fermented Oxtail Jus; while Japanese Michelin-starred Chef Masayasu Yonemura of TEPPAN debuts his innovative French-Japanese Teppanyaki with his proprietary Kurobuta Pork Shabu Shabu dish.

What’s also new at TGFF 2018 are two pop-up concept kitchens at the Star Chef Arena: Tastes of Siam to be helmed by Dylan Jones of Michelin-starred Bo.lan in Bangkok; and Festa Italiana featuring promising young Italian chefs Oliver Piras and Francesco Brutto, respectively of Michelin-starred restaurants Aga Restauranta and Undicesimo Vinera.



Adjoining the Star Chef Arena is the Diageo World Class Bar that boasts six specially handpicked World Class drinks concocted by Diageo World Class Bartenders.


Rollin’ Sweet Times, Asia’s largest consumer dessert and pastry showcase, also returns with a fresh line-up of the trendiest bakers and dessert chefs, starring Matt Adlard, popularly known as the “Topless Baker”, the latest sensation in the global dessert scene.

On a grander scale, the Feast of Kings showcases a more boisterous sit-down medieval-themed banquet complete with live musicians and even jugglers, but this event is already sold out.

New to TGFF 2018 is The Cellar, where attendees are taken on an intimate, wine-paired premium meat and cheese journey supplemented by wine appreciation masterclasses led by Jeannie Cho Lee, a renowned Master of Wine and an award-winning author, wine critic and judge. Expect to taste up to six fine and premium wines including an RW CLOS DE TART MOMMESSIN 2005.

Rounding off the festival are the masterclasses at the Atelier by Bosch, a pop-up baking studio taught by celebrity bakers such as Philip Khoury, Andres Fatso and Matt Adlard, where home bakers and dessert enthusiasts can glean insights into the art of baking. The 90-minute class is priced at SGD148 per pax and includes all-day access to the main event.
